VIDEO: The missing MERLIN (and Arthur) love scene
The season finale of MERLIN appeared last Sunday — but it was missing something key. In the episode, a SyFy "original" now after NBC booted it, the young wizard Merlin found himself responsible for saving the kingdom from a powerful dragon.
Of course, this being MERLIN, with its shades of SMALLVILLE and XMEN, no one can know of Merlin’s magic, so the duty of destroying the neigh-unstoppable beast falls to the Once and Future King: Arthur. It’s a fools errand. Both will surely die. And the recognition of this impending doom between the two stars of the show was…. cut out of the episode.
But thanks to the Magic of the InterTubes, I’m able to show you that… well, love, because that’s what it expresses…. scene from the episode.
Though, I have to think those punches are code for something else.
All kidding aside, it’s probably the best scene from the entire series.

I used to do the same thing with Jimmy Cutter in the 4th grade. I ran into him years later and a bar called The Men’s Room. Turns out the punches were more sexual than a night with him.
I have to admit, when they deal with the mythos of the story and get away from the weekly “saving Uther or Arthur from a love enchantment”, the show is interesting and these two have developed some really nice characters and chemistry.
