VIEWS: Am I crazy or what?

I have decided that I have some screws severely loose. I started my first feature film, "The Third Society" nearly 11 years ago. It took me almost 4 years to finish it. I told myself never again, but movies are like tattoos, some of us enjoy the pain. I’ve done two other features, "Salvation" and "Denizen" in the years following "The Third Society." I always tell myself "never again" and then I end up making yet another movie. A couple weeks ago I got a wild idea to use a Civil War re-enactment group in the telling of a modern day Civil War ghost story…and my 4th feature, "Blood Fare" was born.

Script written? Check. What format are we going to shoot it in? HD of course silly. Uh, which camera? Then came the scramble to figure out what to shoot it with. I spent hours online pouring over reviews, specs, and prices. We’ve finally settled on something similiar to the Canon 7D. I was on House when they filmed the finale using the Canon 5D and I was duly impressed.

Last week was spent testing out a mini HD crash cam. *Note to self* please check to make sure image stabilization is ON.  I always thought stuff came out of the box with the obvious things pre-set. Wrong!  We got the story and the cool trailer. Yeah! "Blood Fare" is arockin’.

It’s pretty cool to be married to a smart woman and my Co-Producer, Jessica M. Bair.

JESS: Honey, you really should have new business cards made for Comic Con.

ME: WHY?

JESS: Because they are six years old and it doesn’t look good when you have all the numbers and the address crossed out.

ME: Okay.

I have new business cards, new "Blood Fare" hats, and Comic Con is just around the corner. Can life get any better? Yeah. I could find a hot lesbian to play the main character of Tyler. Lesbian action heroine’s…yup, I think I started a trend with myself with "Denizen". Action movies with gay characters…go figure. Don’t worry I still can get an interview with the Advocate…but I do manage to get the Syfy Channel to return my calls. Oh well.

Stay tuned for more craziness as the new adventure begins to make another movie and find a hot chick who is a lesbian or doesn’t mind playing a lesbian…And if you like Civil War stuff…check out the "Blood Fare" here:

Wow! Sounds like fun :) Im traveling down that feature road for the first time in three weeks, maybe you can give me some pointers at ComicCon. Or maybe you can give me a good recommendation for a shrink. At any rate, Can’t wait to see your new business cards. :)
