Take a Survey. Better the World of Gay Men.
So I haven’t done enough to involve you folks in the advancement of science. It’s fun to post about the latest coolness (and not so coolness) going on the wacky worlds of the enterprising and investigating halls of the White Coat Set, but it’s still a degree removed from your active life.
I’d like to change that, with this, the first post about scientists and researchers looking for people to participate in their investigations — especially when they want us.
First up, researcher Christopher Nettles, MA; MPhil at the Department of Psychology, The George Washington University (GWU), is looking for on-line participants to take a brief survey on Social Stress and Sexual Behavior in Gay Men. There are eligibility requirements – you must be over 18 and reside in a targeted city.
The purpose of this study is to understand stress, sexual behavior, and aspects of personality in men who have sex with men.
If you choose to take part in this study, you will answer a number of survey questions online. I did it. It’s pretty fun. Revealing but anonymous, and takes about a half-an-hour to do. What’s more, if you chose to leave behind an email address, you’ll get either $10 bucks at Amazon or through PayPal to do with as you will. Pretty great deal — especially since you can even do the whole thing for free.
The link to the survey is here. You do need to get a password to take the survey and that’s available from the lead researcher at cdnettle@gwu.com. Click the link, send an email to get a password and take the survey. It’s pretty interesting and you are doing your part to advance our understanding of the world!
I’ll post more as I find them!
