Mark Bessenger leaves"BITE MARKS"
Hitting festivals and theaters soon is BITE MARKS, the new horror / comedy from gay director Mark Bessenger. The film explores a vampire-zombie outbreak from the point of view of a hitchiking gay couple, trapped in the cab of a semi with a deranged trucker.
Sean Abley at Gay of the Dead caught up with Bessenger, asking him about what was his inspiration for the story.
” ….BITE MARKS was originally going to be a very dark film about a trucker who picks up a straight couple (boyfriend and girlfriend) then, when they became trapped in the junkyard surrounded by vampires, becomes a tyrant in the cab, forcing himself sexually on them for the right to remain safe. But the producer wanted gay characters in it, which was fine by me, so Jack and Alice became Vogel and Cary.
Then, as I was writing it, it seemed natural to insert a joke. Then came another one. Then another. Before long, there was no way I could make it a dark film, and it became a horror comedy. The trucker changed into a lovable goof-ball who begins to question his sexuality, so it’s a mix of gay indie and horror-comedy.”
The film stars Windham Beacham, Benjamin Lutz, David Alanson, Krystal Main, John Werskey, Phillip Henry Christopher, Jon Gale, Racheal Rivera, Miranda Downey and special guest Stephen Geoffreys. It’s from BlakkFlamingo Pictures, the non-porn label of porn director / producers Jett Blakk and Dink Flamingo.
David Alanson, one of the stars of the film, is former adult-film star David Townsend, who made waves a few years ago by meeting then-president Bill Clinton. Like porn-star-turned-actor Brent Corrigan / Sean Paul Lockhart, doorQ.com is pleased to see another adult film model trying to make it as an actor. We hope this is an on-going and successful trend.
