Joss Whedon on the BUFFY reboot

Angel kisses Buffy

“This is a sad, sad reflection on our times, when people must feed off the carcasses of beloved stories from their youths—just because they can’t think of an original idea of their own, like I did with my Avengers idea that I made up myself….”

–Joss Whedon

Bravo, Sir. Well played.

Daniel Radcliffe on Gay Teen Suicide

daniel radcliffe“Learning about the suicide deaths of Tyler Clementi, Seth Walsh, Asher Brown, Billy Lucas and Justin Aaberg has been heartbreaking for me. These young people were bullied and tormented by people that should have been their friends.

We have a responsibility to be better to each other, and accept each others’ differences regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ability, or religion and stand up for someone when they’re bullied. When a friend is feeling depressed or says they’re thinking of killing themselves, we must take it seriously and get them help. You can make a difference in someone’s life by learning the warning signs for suicide and how you can help someone who is suicidal by visiting the Trevor Project.

“My deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends of these excellent young people. And to all the young people who are being bullied right now, you are not alone. Call the Trevor Lifeline at 866 4-U-TREVOR, because there’s always someone there who will listen and who can help.” – Actor Daniel Radcliffe, as quoted on

Gay Superhero Captain Lucky is on a mission to help mere mortals navigate the treachery of city life. Along with his league of “Legendaries” they are on a quest to vanquish a lame evening out and add more excitement and fun to the world, including Go Go Dancing.

Captain Lucky, we hear your alter ego appears in the horror movie “Pink Eye.”

Yes, I love horror movies and got to play the part of a mental patient that goes a little haywire, the bleeding man. (laughs) I am one of the many psychos in it.

You and the “Legendaries” are actually characters in the gay comic “Pride High.”

Tommy Roddy, the creator of “Pride High” is a fan of me and my band of “Legendaries” he is awesome! We love the message of the comic he produces and are glad to be a part of it!

What is the mission of Captain Lucky and his Legendaries?

Our mission is to go out into the city and experience all of the entertainment it has to offer and tell you what’s hot and not so you do not have to waste your time and money.

Do you take on these heroic challenges in costume or do you use your secret identities?

We go out a lot in costume; club promoters hire us to make special appearances to add a little spice to their events. We like to use our secret identities when we are on our missions so the management of the establishments we go into will not try to stop us. (laughs)

Explain your superpower of having a “hypnotic pelvic thrust.”

Captain Lucky is not your children’s superhero; myself and the Legendaries are meant for a more mature audience. When I go out into public everyone stares at my crotch, I went to Comic Con recently and a lot of the comments were along the lines of “You have to have balls to wear that!” I said: “Yep, I have the balls”! (laughs)

Tell us more Captain Lucky!

Well I always wanted to be a Go Go Dancer and I threw it in that Captain Lucky was a Gay Go Go Dancing superhero, then I started getting job offers to go dance at different places. When I dance I am on fire, my personality is quite sexual.

What does a superhero like yourself do with his free time?

When I have free time, I like going to a movie, dancing or having sex.

Tell us the type of guy that makes you use your “pelvic thrust” powers.

I like Prince Charming and the Big Bad Wolf all rolled into one!

Describe a gay superheroes perfect evening.

OK, being the center of a gang bang! (laughs) Kicking it at home with a glass of wine and watching a movie with friends, that is a perfect evening for someone as busy as me.

We love that! What type of movie?

“300,” it is not out on DVD right now, it is amazing, I swear I popped a boner twenty times watching it! The men in it are so ridiculously hot that it was like watching a gay porn. The main villain King Xerxes is like, this big giant drag queen! (laughs)

Let’s hear a little more about your band of “Legends.”

Each one specializes in their own field, a lot of the “Legends” are in the entertainment industry, the majority of us are actors. For example DJ Posh is an amazing writer who went to UCLA and specialized in music appreciation, and the best thing about all of us is we are all comic book nerds! (laughs)

Who is your favorite comic book stud?

I would have to say Wolverine because he is so bad ass!

What I love most about “The Legends” is each member is different and has a charismatic personality and they like to have kick ass time!

Want to get Lucky? Captain Lucky, that is, go to and check out his “hypnotic pelvic thrust.”
